GMLLOA Needs Members to Join the Board of Directors

The Greater Molega Lake Lot Owners Association needs volunteers to join the board. The Association maintains approximately 56 km of roads along with 3 bridges and 207 acres of green areas. We currently have open positions on the board and need your involvement!

Open positions include Vice President and Road Chair for the South shore areas. We are also looking for a successor to take on the role of Treasurer as our current Treasurer, Bruce MacInnis will be stepping down after 6 years.

The roles entail:

  • Vice President: lead board meetings in the President's absence, act as the organization's spokesperson as needed, and participate as a member of the board executive. This role is crucial for maintaining continuity and supporting the board's overall function.

  • Road Chair: responsible for interacting with and directing the activities of our contractors in the completion of grading, graveling, brushing, signage, bridge maintenance, snow clearing, and various capital projects. Previous chairs have done an exceptional job as proven by the excellent condition of our roads and the extensive capital projects that have been completed.

  • Treasurer: plays a crucial role in managing the association’s finances, including managing budgets, cash flow, and financial planning; maintaining accurate financial records; preparing and presenting financial reports to the board; leading the annual audit process, and managing the association’s funds.

The board meets the last Monday of every month except for July (when the AGM is held), August, December, and January.

Volunteering on the board is not just about lending your time; it’s about shaping the future of our community. Board members play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of life for all members by making important decisions that impact our shared resources and overall environment. Participation ensures diverse perspectives are considered. By volunteering, you directly contribute to making our community a better place to live.

Many hands make small work! If you or someone you know is interested in joining a great volunteer team, please contact president@gmlloa.ca.
