Enhanced Fire Safety on the North Shore of Molega Lake - Dry Hydrant Installed!

In a significant stride towards bolstering safety measures around Molega Lake’s North Shore, we are delighted to announce the establishment of a new dry hydrant on Baker Point. This development marks a crucial enhancement in the emergency response infrastructure serving the residents of Molega Lake North.
An important Safety Upgrade
The new dry hydrant at Baker Point aims to provide a reliable water source for firefighting operations, crucial during emergencies. Positioned strategically to optimize accessibility and efficiency, this addition is a testament to our commitment to safeguarding the well-being of our community.
A community initiative
The Greater Molega Lake Lot Owners Association identified the need for this critical piece of infrastucture, led, and funded the project. The process of design, approvals through multiple layers of government agencies. and installation was very challenging and took multiple years to navigate successfully. The project wouldn't have been successful without the initiative and dogged efforts of past South Shore Road Chairman Harvey Banek, past Secretary, Jane Banek, North Shore Road Chairman Randall Knox, Treasurer Bruce MacInnis, and our contractor Shawn Rawding. The community is extremely appreciative of you and all you have done to support everyone's continued safety.
Your Role in Safety Preparedness
While the installation of the dry hydrant marks a pivotal milestone, safety preparedness is a shared responsibility. Please remember that we all play a role in fire safety.
